Tips when filling up gasoline into your car
Tips on Filling your Vehicles...
This is a Message received from a friend:
I don't know what you guys are paying for petrol... but here in Durban, we are also paying higher, up to 47.35 per litre.
But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth
for every litre.
Here at the Marian Hill Pipeline, where I work in Durban, we deliver about 4 million litres in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel; the next day is jet fuel, and petrol, LRP and Unleaded. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 litres.
ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS
STILL COLD.
Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground,
the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... your litre is not exactly a litre.
In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and
other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business.
But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE.
If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that arecreated, while you are pumping.
All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour.
Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL.
The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof.
This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.
Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.
ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

New lifestyle in Malaysia
Ever since the fuel hikes on 5th June 2008. It has dramatically changed every Malaysian lifestyle. I guess it is getting worse cause most Malaysia are cutting down 'lifestyle' expenses that they used to spend more. Prolly lesser booze, cheaper clothings (less branded and I mean no Bata brand, maybe Ah Seng brand from China), taking public transport (isn't buying local cars at RM50 grand is pathetic enough? and now public transport and riding scooters?) Geezuz. I really thought when time progresses the lifestyle of the Malaysian citizen should improve but now is the other way round? Is this happening only in Malaysia or it is actually impacting on the countries?

(Looking on the bright side: Better traffic in KL)
Cardiologist Dr Ramesh Singh Veriah takes just 10 minutes driving from his home in Bangsar to his workplace at University Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Previously, the 5km journey took some 30 minutes.
Adam, from Pandan Indah, now arrives for work in Jalan Hang Tuah in the city centre 20 minutes early.
Like Ramesh and Adam, many drivers in the Klang Valley, Penang and other parts of the country are seeing less traffic following the June 5 fuel price hike.
> Kuala Lumpur City Hall recorded a drop of almost 12,000 cars entering the city daily a week after the fuel price hike;
> Queues at LRT stations are getting longer and car parks are bursting at the seams;
> A bus company in Putrajaya has recorded a 10% increase in the number of passengers;
> Daily traffic volume on the Penang Bridge has dropped by 7% from the previous daily volume of 67,000 vehicles;
> Sales of motorcycles have increased by up to 25%. Demand is higher than supply now; and
> More women are buying scooters.

Mariah Carey - Bye bye
Nice song! Seriously good....... After spinning this song it just reminded my good old days with my grandad. Boy I miss you grandpa!
This is for my people's
Who just lost somebody
Your best friend, your baby
Your man, or your lady
Put your hand way up high
We will never say bye
(No, no, no)
Momma's, daddy's
Sister's, brother's
Friends, and cousins
This is for my people's
Who lost
Their grandmothers
Lift your head to
The the sky
Cause we will never
Say bye
As a child
There were them times
I didn't get it
But you kept me in line
I didn't know
Why you didn't show up
Sometimes
On Sunday mornings
And I missed you
But I'm glad we talked through
All grown folk things
Seperation brings
You never let me know it
You never let it show it
Caused you loved me
And obviously
There's so much more to say
If you were
With me today
Face to face
I never knew
I can hurt like this
And everyday
Life rolls on
I wish I can talk to you
For a while
Miss you but
Not to cry
As time goes bye
And It's true
You reached
A better place
Still I'd give
The world
To see your face
and right here
Next to you
Now the hardest thing
To do is say
Bye, bye-bye
Bye-bye
Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye
Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye
Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye
And you never
Got a chance to see
How good I've done
And you never
Got to see me
Back at number one
I wish that you was here
To celebrate together
I wish that we can spend
The holidays together
I remember when you use
To tuck me in at night
Or the teddy bear u give me
That I held so tight
I thought you were so strong
You make it through whatever
It's so hard to except
The fact you gone forever
I never knew
I can hurt like this
And everyday
Life rolls on
I wish I can talk to you
For a while
Miss you but
Not to cry
As time goes by
And It's true
You reached
A better place
And I'd still give
The world
Is in your face
and be right here
Next to you

Good news!!!! Wohoooo....
Petrol, power price rise effects begin to kick in
PETALING JAYA: The effects of the increase in fuel price and electricity tariffs have started to kick in.
Just a day after the announcement of the increases, the following developments have taken place:
> Bus and lorry companies announced that they are increasing charges or will be forced to stop services;
> The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers said its members will pass on any increase in costs to consumers;
> Hawkers and other food operators will wait and see before raising prices; and
> The KLCI closed 29.56 points down, to 1223.56 points. Plantation and banking counters as well as PLUS were the most affected.
Not all was gloomy, however. Transport Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat said he is looking at whether more reductions on road tax can be given.

Petrol News
Kuala Lumpur, Jun 4 (PTI) Malaysia has hiked petrol prices by 40 per cent which will be effective from midnight tonight to reduce the government's massive subsidy.
The price of a litre of petrol will be raised by 78 sen to 2.70 ringgit (USD 0.84) while diesel will go up by one ringgit to 2.58 ringgit (USD 0.80) per litre, Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi said adding that a new electricity tariff structure will take effect from July one.
While the increase in prices would still keep them as among the cheapest in Asia, the move is expected to lift the inflation rate to as much as 5 per cent.
It is the first time in two years that electricity and fuel prices have been increased. Fuel prices had not been changed in the country since February 2006.
"We cannot naturally keep subsidising at the current rate," Abdullah told reporters.
The government would extend an annual cash rebate of 625 ringgit (USD 201) per year to owners of cars with engine capacity of up to 2,000 cc and pick up trucks and jeeps of up to 2500 cc to offset their burden from the price hike, he said.
"Owners of private motorcycles of engine capacity of up to 250 cc will be paid a cash rebate of 150 ringgit per year," he said.
The prime minister said the cash rebate would be given to the owners of the cars and motorcycles when they paid or renewed their road tax.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Abdul Samad had said earlier that Malaysia's long term plan was to increase the price of petrol to market price maybe by August. PTI

Good joke of the day....
Believe it or not.
Woman has Man in it;
Mrs. Has Mr . In it;
Female has Male in it;
She has He in it;
Madam has Adam in it;
No wonder men always want to be inside women!
Men were born between the legs of a woman, yet men spend all their life and time trying to go back between the legs of a woman....
Why?
BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Okay, Okay, it all makes sense now...
I never looked at it this way before:
Ever notice how all of women's problems start with MEN?
MENtal illness
MENstrual cramps
MENtal breakdown
MENopause
GUYnecologist
AND ..
When we have REAL trouble, it's a

The Running Man Movie
One of my personal favourite movie. Looks pretty outdated movie but the story line is pretty solid. What the heck its free! At least its better than queueing for 'cheap' gasoline right now? Bah!
Nice policy dude!
I really wonder is this new policy going to help the lower and medium income earners? I am not talking about gasoline price hikes only but I can seriously see the impact would be on the services and food that we are going to pay in the days to come. Life is definitely getting more difficult in Malaysia!

Fuel going down for no reason! Thanks to BN!
Seriously I am pretty piss off with the recent gasoline hikes. Welcome to the world of inflation. Less money to spend and that means lesser entertainment! Bah!
Tons of cars queing up in all petrol stations!
Not sure how much this dudes can save but for all I know I was burning more fuel than usual driving because of this dudes trying to save some moolahs. The whole KL and Selangor is jam packed with cars at petrol stations.
Wimax coming soon to KL!
Greenpacket have something to offer this month! Hoping to see some improvements at least give a kick on Tmnut! Too much domination for too long. Time for some healthy competitions.
